The primary objective of the project is to develop the first compact sled-based vehicle crash simulation system on the market, capable of replicating the typical pitch motion observed in frontal impacts by incorporating additional degrees of freedom in movement. This system enable an accurate recreation of frontal impact dynamics by systematically adding vertical motion components, associated with pitch, to the sled's horizontal movement. This innovation aims to enhance the reliability and cost-effectiveness of safety testing within the automotive and component manufacturing industries.
